lyrics
How twisted the character is perceived
When the foundation is grown on poisonous seeds.
Consume and arrive soon, sleep rare and awaken in the midst of next June.
Collect and receive, illustrate intricate scenes caught interrupting the light we pray for.
You always said you'd be happy at the end of the road.
You always promised some sort of reward.
You crushed opportunities in which you were bestowed.
You praise the poison and disregard the blood you pour.
When you wake up, you'll be right where you left off.
You knew you were hatred
When the mirror showed you red
You found it in your heart
To make sure you were dead
Climb out of the rabbit hole
Cut the lines that you still thread
Come out like a miracle
Your mind is over fed.
It was most difficult arranging my stories in an order that might make sense. I balanced my mind and danced around answers like a sad story performing pirouettes on shadows, dark spaces seemed full of air but those faces were shallow, wasting breath and faking love to death and death to love over and over again. It was the hardest point in my life thus far to start growing up like they told me I should, I broke into my skin with splinters of old wood. Breaking in these shoes and callousing my hands with the effort that continues to rise and stand. Never asking for help but accepting helping hands. Following my heart and letting it ache, pages in my book keep turning until I feel more awake. Did we plan for the lack of shelter or lack of energy? Or is this just the way life gusts our limbs into the breeze? I hope you find your way before you end up lost in the sea. Because I love you and I know that you are really me.
